General Agritechdag 2024 & Cool Energy Event
Flanders AgrifoodTEF, the Flemish Test and Experimentation Facility, is one year old! After the successful launch at Agritechdag 2023, there will be a new edition with first results, extra services and a new first. This Agritechdag is a must for everyone working at the innovation crossroads between agrifood and technology. We will demonstrate services and test infrastructure tailored to your company so you can develop, test and bring your AI, data or robotics solution to market faster in a realistic agricultural environment.

10am: Reception with coffee
10h30 to 12h15: Cool Energy Event
Interested in renewable energy or ecologically regulating the barn climate? Then combine the Agritech afternoon with the Cool Energy Event in the morning. We will present efficient cooling systems or sustainable energy solutions with less use of fossil resources and share knowledge and experiences with smart control, heat pumps and hybrid PV-T panels.

Drop by specialised companies in cooling and energy technologies. You will see practical applications at the various information stands.
13:30 - 15:00: Workshop AI, also for your company?
You will learn how your company can get started with AI: from applications for big data in the cloud to artificial intelligence in IoT sensors or smartphones. Not to be missed for professionals working in product development, product management, R&D,... in the agrifood sector or service companies such as technology companies and machine builders.
13:30 - 16:30: Continuous live demos
With the focus on animal husbandry, you will get to see TEF services demonstrated in concrete demos so that you can get inspired around artificial intelligence, data and robots in the agri-food sector.
Discover in the ILVO Animal research stables how modern cutting-edge technology and data processing can also have a major impact in animal husbandry. Reliably measuring emissions, monitoring animal welfare, grazing with AI, monitoring drinking water consumption in cows, preventing piglet mortality, determining meat quality, locating livestock.... it can all be done quickly and efficiently thanks to the very latest high-tech innovations! 15:15- 15:45: Digislim farmers
Digislim farmers stands for addressing multiple sector challenges through digitalisation: from more automated administration to smart monitoring of water, or technology that helps manage climate and drought issues. Project partners ILVO, Ferm and Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries challenged a number of students from agriculture and IT disciplines (Odisee Ghent) to develop tailor-made solutions. At 15:15, three talented groups of pitch their creative app idea to the DjustConnect demo stand.
